aaron maria steiner is a musician and performer based in vienna.
with teleport collective, he plays the keys, experiments with unorthodox sound sources, and integrates sampling, poetry, and lighting into his performances. with clap clapinger, he writes songs, sings, and tells stories. his music has been released on cd, cassette, and vinyl. more lately, he also runs an event series for improvised music (cosmic tuesday) and tours the world with the wiener-festwochen-commune caravan of luv.
aaron holds three degrees with majors in jazz piano and composition. he was awarded a full scholarship for his master's studies and a merit scholarship for outstanding academic performance. his educational career includes lecturing at numerous institutions, including jam music lab university, friedrich gulda school of music, prayner conservatory, and vienna conservatory.
